More recently major projects include a 13 storey hotel in Hobart, a $30m resort at Low Head and a $10m office complex in Launceston.
The current interest in Environmentally Sustainable Design has resulted in GSA being commissioned to design Tasmania’s first commercial project to be registered with the Green Building Council of Australia. This 5-star rated building will commence in August and be completed in September 2008.
The building has been specifically designed to provide an energy efficient 5-star rated building which includes features such as:-

- Extensive fixed and operable sun hading devices
- Openable thermal break, double glazed, low E windows to 3 sides
- Solar heated ducts
- Hollow concrete floor panels providing passively cooled air distribution
- Large underground water tanks providing water for general use and night
cooling activity
- Automatically controlled shutters for cross ventilation and night
cooling
 - Full height atrium with clear roof allowing natural daylight to all spaces
- Hydronic ceiling mounted radiant panels and chilled beams allow the
building to be heated and cooled without the need for airconditioning
